Hi, my name is Tracee Freeman. The locals knew me as The Furry Paws Lady! I owned a mobile grooming business for many years. I sold it after my Mom got ill. I wanted to help take care of her. After she passed I worked at our local hospital in the sterile processing department. Where I cleaned and sterilized medical instrumentation. It was there I revisited the idea of my own sharpening business. I remember taking my grooming scissors to the trade shows and getting them sharpened there, coming away disappointed. They either “grinded” most of my blades away, stripped my screws, lost them, or they came back without the original sheath I had them in. I tried sending them out only to be disappointed again and again until I met my teacher and Master sharpener John Kuipers of Wicked Sharp Shears, who sharpened my scissors to perfection. I knew I had to get personally trained by him. He taught me the correct way and the Japanese way to sharpen precise down to the point! I wanted to come back to PA and the surrounding areas to provide that same expertise and service. I also have great shears for sale that won’t break the bank.
